🌟 IT’S OFFICIAL! 🌟

✅ Occupancy permit

✅ Health Department permit

The Moonlite Drive-In is so excited to announce our soft opening begins TONIGHT — Friday, July 18!

During this soft opening phase (July 18–24), the Moonlite will be showing Superman and F1 each night. We will be limiting the number of cars admitted each evening to help our brand-new team get acclimated to operations. Gates and concessions open at 6:30 p.m., with films starting at 9:00 p.m. nightly. Concession options will be slightly limited during this phase as we await a few pieces of equipment. Tickets for the soft opening will be available at the gate only, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our official grand opening kicks off Friday, July 25, with an exciting lineup of films and events, including special programming in partnership with the Virginia Highlands Festival.

We’re excited to welcome the community back to the Moonlite! While improvements and decorating will continue, we couldn’t wait any longer to open our gates and let you experience all we’ve done so far.

We sincerely ask for the community’s support—not just for opening week, but all season long. Please note: No outside food or drinks are allowed. The film studios receive most of the ticket revenue, so concession sales are essential to keeping the Moonlite alive. We promise reasonable prices and great food.

Lastly, we ask for grace and patience as our new team finds its rhythm. We’re all learning and working hard to bring the Moonlite back to life—and we can’t wait to share it with you.
